I am a computer enthusiast born in Finland. I consider myself as a veteran in programming after 25.1 years of experience as a hobby and as a profession. I started at the same time when micro computers became popular in Finland. Most people were interested in gaming, but I found soon that creating games is much more challenging and interesting than gaming itself. I have been working without interruption on one or more programming project since then.

I went to the university just to find, that entry level computing studies there were too easy for me. I became more and more interested in mathematics. At the time of graduation, I found that most of my studies done are from the mathematics instead of the information technology. I don't regret that, since now I have much larger perspective and I have acquired some useful skills and more analytical mind to support my creative side.

My other activities includes playing card games, especially Middle-earth collectible card game. The best achievement so far is the 5th place in the World Championships 2005. I love fantasy and science fiction books and movies, although nowadays unfortunately movies has taken over, since the most time spend to reading is usually non-fictional. I have close relationship with nature, since I was born in the middle of a peaceful rural area in the northern Finland. I have kept this relation fresh by hiking, canoeing, cycling and camping in wilderness.
